Visiting includes students who are not candidates for degrees at the University of Virginia but who are eligible for enrollment in undergraduate and graduate courses. Some of these students are enrolled at other institutions.
Employees enrolled as students for whom tuition was waived are excluded from enrollment figures.
PhD students in Architecture, Basic Medical Sciences, Education, and Nursing, as well as master's students in Basic Medical Sciences and Commerce, are counted with the appropriate school, even though for some years and schools, those students registered through Arts and Sciences.
Data include students enrolled at all locations: On Grounds, Off Grounds, and Online. Data exclude non-credit students.
